SCANASYST-AIR is the #1 selling probe for imaging materials samples in air! The original probe of choice for the mode of the same name available on Dimension Icon, Dimension Edge, MultiMode, BioScope Resolve and other current and legacy Bruker AFMs.

 

The SCANASYST-AIR probe features a single, V-shaped, Al reflex coated cantilever with a low spring constant. Paired with a very sharp tip, it is perfectly suited for high resolution imaging on most samples. Used in conjunction with Peak Force Tapping technology, Bruker AFMs can also employ automatic scan optimization using this probe. Expert level imaging every time!

SCANASYST-FLUID
ScanAsyst-Fluid probes have an intentionally dull tip ideal for force measurements and imaging extremely delicate samples in fluid.  For a sharper ScanAsyst tip for fluid imaging please use the ScanAsyst-Fluid+.

ScanAsyst utilizes a Bruker proprietary method for curve collection and sophisticated algorithms to continuously monitor image quality, and to automatically make appropriate parameter adjustments.  This enables:

- Automatic image optimization for faster, more consistent results, regardless of user skill level.
- Direct force control at ultra-low forces to protect delicate samples and tips from damage.
- Elimination of cantilever tuning, setpoint adjustment, and gain optimization to make even fluid imaging simple.

SAA-HPI-30

Building on the superior imaging performance of the ScanAsyst Air HPI probe, the ScanAsyst-Air-HPI-30 provides accurate nanomechanical mapping on very soft samples in air with controlled end radius and laser Doppler vibrometer calibrated spring constants.

End radii are controlled to 30nm +/- 15%. Spring constants are individually calibrated and guaranteed within 10% . Parameters are contained in the QR code on the box for fast and error free reading with the QR reader included with Bruker’s new PeakForce QNM high accuracy kit available for Dimension Icon. The low nominal 0.25N/m spring constant is most suitable for extremely soft polymer samples (typically kPa to MPa range). For stiffer samples, see the whole series of calibrated probes.

Overview

SCANASYST-AIR-HPI is an improved version of SCANASYST-AIR! If you use SCANAYST-AIR probes, this new version will almost certainly improve your imaging.

 

The SCANASYST-AIR-HPI probe features a paddle shaped, Al reflex coated cantilever with an even lower spring constant than the original probe. The new cantilever reduces optical interference and preserves the tip sharpness for longer. The tip has the same end radius as the original probe but with a higher aspect ratio meaning more symmetrical imaging and reduced convolution for even better data. As with the original probe, used in conjunction with Peak Force Tapping technology and automatic scan optimization = expert level imaging every time!
