The PeakForce TUNA™ module for Dimension Icon and MutliMode 8 AFMs enables for the first time conductivity mapping on fragile samples, such as organic photovoltaics, lithium ion cathodes, and carbon nanotube assemblies, while eliminating sample damage and tip contamination.  This exclusive technology builds on Bruker's revolutionary PeakForce Tapping in conjunction with an innovative, high-bandwidth yet low-noise current amplifier to provide access to the full fA and µA current range without changing module or probe holder.  PeakForce TUNA leverages the full power of the underlying PeakForce Tapping technology, including artifact-free imaging by eliminating lateral forces, unmatched ease of use with ScanAsyst, and directly correlated quantitative nanomechanical property imaging with PeakForce QNM™.

Current probes available for PeakForce TUNA:

  • PFTUNA – Combines the low spring constant and high sensitivity of a nitride cantilever with a sharp, electrically conductive tip.
  • k = 0.4 N/m, f = 70 kHz, 65nm Ti/Au coating on tip
