PeakForce Tapping™ is a proprietary Bruker afm mode where a cantilever is oscillated well below resonance resulting in a continuous series of force-distance curves. While keeping the peak force constant by direct force control, a multitude of material properties can also be extracted and quantified from the force-distance curve at each pixel within an image. Examples include modulus, adhesion force, and deformation depth.
